It is with great sadness that I am writing today to let you know "Dixie Dave" David DeMeyer passed away Saturday, August 17th.

David DeMeyer, the guy who survived a mid air collision as a Navy fighter pilot...while in flight training....who went on to have two boys and was married to Andrea for the last 25 years...someone we all love. The collision caused David many health problems through the years, but his spirit, energy, enthusiasm transcended his injuries and made him the Washington Cougar we all loved.

He gave us all a good laugh when he "droned on" giving the "Coug" Report, And who can forget all the props he would bring to the meetings to support the "Cougar Cause". And Dec bringing the clock to time him. Good Times.

Andrea and David's son's arrived last night and are making arrangements. What we know is that David will be cremated and his ashes will be buried in a family plot in Seattle. There may be a service here and if so, I will pass this along to you.

If you wish to send a card, the address is 658 Dorr Ave, Gulf Shores, AL 36542.

David DeMeyer will be missed by all of us.....RIP, My Friend!!
